George Samuels is the trading name of Oakbridge Waters Ltd. We are a recruitment business based in the UK. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

- Candidates: CVs, employment history, qualifications, skills, contact details, and any information you provide during the recruitment process.
- Clients/prospects: name, role, company, professional contact details, and information about your recruitment needs.
- Communications data: emails and notes relating to our contact with you.

- Directly from you (e.g. when you send us your CV, speak with us, or complete a form).
- From publicly available sources (e.g. LinkedIn, job boards, company websites).
- Through business-to-business outreach (professional contact details relevant to your role).
4. How we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To match candidates with suitable job opportunities.
- To provide recruitment services to clients.
- To contact potential clients with relevant candidates or services (B2B outreach).
- To maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.
5. Lawful basis for processing
We process personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests: contacting professionals about relevant opportunities; contacting businesses about relevant candidates; maintaining a database of professionals for recruitment purposes.
- Consent: where you have actively given us permission (e.g. submitting a CV directly).
- Legal obligations: complying with regulatory or contractual requirements.
We always balance our legitimate interests against your rights and expectations. You can object to processing at any time (see section 8).
6. Who we share data with
We may share candidate information with client companies where it is relevant to a potential role.
We also use third-party service providers to store and process data, including:
- Google Workspace (Google Drive/Sheets)
- Airtable
- Apollo.io
- n8n
- Make.com
Some providers may store data outside the UK/EEA. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. How long we keep data
- Candidates: we retain CVs and candidate records for up to 5 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We review records regularly to ensure they remain accurate and relevant.
- Clients/prospects: we retain professional contact details for up to 5 years after our last contact, unless you opt out of communications.
- We may keep limited records longer if required by law (e.g. for tax or contractual reasons).
8. Your rights
You have the following rights under UK GDPR:
- Access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction or objection to our processing (including to B2B outreach).
- Data portability (in certain circumstances).

If we contact you as a business professional, we rely on legitimate interests.
You can opt out of further contact at any time by replying to our email or emailing sam@georgesamuels.com. We will then ensure you are not contacted again.
